When Samsung introduced the SPH-A600 previous year, the mobile's rock-hard characteristic set and swiveling screen completed it a real head-turner. And such is the container through the Samsung SCH-A610 for Verizon Wireless; the most recent in the company's attempt to dapper up its offerings. This professional camera phone retains many of the good-looking skin tone of its sibling but adds a long-drawn-out phone book and multimedia-messaging (MMS) ability. But at $299, the glockenspiel and whistles come with a hefty cost tag that will application to only serious cell phone users who desire full functionality in a showy package. At first fleeting look, the Samsung SCH-A610 resembles few of its flip-phone counterparts. Similar to the SPH-A600, this two-tone, gray mobile is bulky (3.5 by 1.9 by 0.9 inches; 4.23 ounces) and boxy, with a definitely solid and muscular feel. As is the container with its predecessor, the A610 has two skin tone that few handsets can competition: a rotating, barrel-like camera lens and a characteristic swiveling screen.
